Peter first took his love of photography to a professional level in 1991 when he began working in Nashville, TN as a photographer.  During those first years he specialized in wedding photography. In 1998 Peter decided to move to  Phoenix to be closer to family and opened Camelback Photography. Camelback Photography opened its doors and quickly established itself as one of the most successful photography studios in AZ, specializing in children, families, weddings and commercial work. In 2000, Camelback Photography was chosen by AzBiz Magazine as one of the 10 best wedding photography studios in Arizona.

In 2001, Peter started to specialize in pet photography.  With his work within the rescue community he started to establish an incredible reputation as a top notch pet photographer and a successful fundraiser. To date Peter has helped raise money for AzBeagle Rescue, Pug Rescue, AZ Basset Hound Rescue, AZ Adopt A Greyhound rescue, San Diego Spaniel rescue, Boxer Luv Rescue, Maricopa Country Care and Control, Pets 911, Amazing Aussie Rescue and  Arizona Animal Welfare League H.A.L.O.  Peter has appeared on Animal Planet, Fox News Arizona, Good Morning Arizona and the Jan D’Atri Show. His work has been published in the  “Simply Delicious” Cookbook published by Pets911 as well a 2008 calendar to benefit FAAC’s.  From  2006 through 2009, Peter was the exclusive pet photographer for all Petco stores in Arizona and Las Vegas. He traveled  to 30 different stores from Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Prescott and Kingman. He has worked with Pet clients in San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, and Boston.

 When not behind the camera Peter spends time with his wife and son and their 9 year old Chihuahua Elvis and 18 year old Maine Coon Mr. Pickles.

This image was taken on a warm evening in July. I had just finshed photographing a family at the Buttes and was heading back to my car. As I crossed a foot bridge to get to the parking lot I saw this amazing image. I immediatly took out my camera and photographed it. The rest is photoshop history.
